we sort of wandered through the weekend over here - going for runs, eating tomato sandwiches, working on projects around home.
The pictures above are shots of a chest we're redoing. I bought it at a yard sale in April and drug it out this weekend, where we commenced the sanding and peeling off of the layer of siding that had been placed over it. the plan is to get all the fake wood off, sand it, and then paint it a pretty color - it will probably then fulfill its destiny in the guest bedroom...
we also got a lot from our garden this weekend - tomatoes, peppers, peapods. perfect for feasting. We'll spend the rest of the afternoon today doing little things - mowing the lawn, cleaning the house, then capping the evening off with some barbeque.

sounds like such a great weekend. i love that photo of you and bryan, jesse. i hope you'll post photos of the cupboard after the refinishing is complete.
kyle built shelves for our laundry "room" this weekend (it's a hallway, really), while i continued to sort through and organize things throughout the house. we made it out to see the movie "evening" on friday night, which was so nice. i think you'd really enjoy that one, jess.
